The chronic gastritis like potential factor of vascular risk: Analysis of a case with thrombosis of the subclavian artery

ABSTRACT

A 39-year-old male was admitted at our hospital for evaluation of ischemic left superior limb, demonstrating in the TC partial thrombosis of the left subclavian artery. Mycrocytic anemia by iron and vitamin B12 deficit was watched. In the upper endoscopy and gastric biopsy existed atrophic chronic gastritis and gastric carcinoids polyps. The connection among chronic gastritis, vitamin B12 deficit and hyperhomocystinaemia like risk factor for the vascular event that motivated the admission is commented.
