ABSTRACT
Virtual learning has been placed on educational institutions to fulfill new generation’s various competences formation demands, in today’s globalized society. The objective is to analyze the use of Moodle platform for independent work development, in the teaching-learning process of Methodology of Research and Statistics. A bibliographical review on the subject revealed various authors criteria about independent work through virtual learning environments and students´ training benefits. Platform can be used in the design of most self-regulatory activities, especially self-assessment promotion, with a positive impact on teachers and students. Results allow carrying out virtual learning experiences being an autonomous and regulated support, through independent work in the classroom.
