Comparison of anterior cruciate ligament treatment; the rigid stapled versus self-adjusting band system

ABSTRACT
Introduction: Two techniques to repair the anterior cruciate ligament, are the ones that use a staple type rigid implant and auto adjustable bands; the current research looks forward to conclude which offers the best results.
Material and method: transversal comparative study, including 26 patients with diagnostic of breaking off of the ACL taking into account a period from January 2010 to February 2017.
Results: 12 were handled with staple type fixation and 14 with auto adjustable bands. The satisfaction was evaluated with the scale Lysholm, finding no significant difference statistically speaking.
Discussion and conclusion: there is no difference between the 2 systems of attachment evaluated in the Lysholm scale.
