ABSTRACT
Introduction: melanoma is a skin cancer that originates from cells called melanocytes, originating in the neural crest that migrate during embryological development and are located in the basal layer of the epidermis.Case presentation: a 72-year-old male patient was seen in the Dermatology department with 2 hyperchromic lesions in the middle finger and the sole of the left foot; with an appearance difference of 15 years between both and diagnosed by clinical and skin biopsy as malignant melanoma, acral lentiginous variety.
Discussion: surgical treatment was necessary, initially for skin lesions and then lymph node dissection and medical treatment with parenteral antibiotic and local cures for sepsis, as a complication of the stump.
Conclusions: currently in follow-up consultations, with an uncertain evolution.
