ABSTRACT
Objectives: Compare the Gd-DTPA and Gd-DO3A-butrol effect at different volumes in the contrast-noise and signal-noise ratio of contrasted Magnetic Angio-Resonance studies of Supra-aortic trunks.
Materials and methods: Supra-aortic trunks C-MAR were practiced to 45 patients. Each one of patients was randomly assigned to one of the three different groups: Group Mag20: 20 mL of Gd-DTPA to 1.8 mL/s; Group Gad20: 20 mL of Gd-DO3A-butrol to 1.8 mL/s: Group Gad10: 10 mL of Gd-DO3A-butrol to 0.9 mL/s.
Results: Analysis proves a higher ratio C:R and S:R using Gd-DTPA to 20 mL compared to Gd-DO3A-butrol at the same volume. However, using Gd-DO3A-butrol to 10 mL, a higher ratio C:R as compared with Gd-DO3A-butrol to 20 mL as with Gd-DTPA was observed.
Conclusions: C:R Ratio in C-MAR Supra-aortic trunks is higher using Gd-DO3A-butrol at 10 mL volume probably due minor destruction existence of signal by T
2* effect.
