Gastric Bypass. Surgical treatment of the morbid obesity

ABSTRACT

The obesity is at the moment a problem of public health at national level since it is considered like the second cause of anticipatable death. The laparoscopic operations used for the control of the obesity include the gastric bandage, the gastric derivation and vertical gastroplasty. In the present article we mention the gastric derivation. This indicated in patients with index of greater corporal mass of 40 or between 35 and 40 with associate morbidity. It’s necessary to know the surgical anatomy and equipment. The objective of the technique is to create a gastric reservoir of 25 mL and to make one gastro-jejune anastomosis of Y Roux to 30-50 cm of the ligament of Treitz. The success of the technique is obtained when improving the quality of life of the patient.
