ABSTRACT
The Total Anomalous Connection of Pulmonary Veins is a complex and rare heart disease where the pulmonary veins are not connected to the left atrium, clinically manifested by polypnea fatigue and cyanosis when crying or feeding; it is worth mentioning that it is not a cyanotic heart disease, however the obstruction of the collector generates a volume overload to the right cavities (dilation and hypertrophy) which translates as pulmonary hyperflow and in the end data of right heart failure. We present the case of an infant who presented with data of severe respiratory difficulty requiring mechanical ventilation, with suspected congenital heart disease, and diagnostic echocardiography and angiotomography of this cardiopathy with an infradiaphragmatic collecting vein. Surgical intervention was performed as a definitive treatment.REFERENCES
