ABSTRACT
Constrictive pericarditis is a diagnostic challenge. It clinically shows predominant signs of right heart failure. We present the case of a 60-year-old man with a 2-year-evolution dyspnea, functional class II, which has progressed to IV, and history of high blood pressure and chronic atrial fibrillation. Echocardiographic and magnet-ic resonance images that were useful to establish the diagnosis are shown. The patient was discharged after responding favorably to treatment.
