ABSTRACT
We report two cases of superior vena cava syndrome (SVCS). The first symptom was facial edema. The etiology of the first case was a thymic neuroendocrine carcinoma. The second case was caused by a central endovenous catheter for chemoterapy, inducing trombosis in the rigth jugular vein. We reviewed the etiology of facial edema including the SVCS. We emphasize the importance of early diagnosis and treatment.
