ABSTRACT
Congenital granular cell tumor, also termed congenital epulis, is a rare bening tumor seen in newborns. The tumor may arise from gingival surface of the maxilla or jaw. Females are affected more often than males. The histogenesis is not certain. The lack of inmunostaining for S-100 protein suggest a different origin from noncongenital granular cell tumors.
