Fixation with anatomical design plate in high closure tibial osteotomy

ABSTRACT
It is demonstrated that the plate with an anatomical design to fix the high tibia of closure osteotomy is a reliable and safe implant, which provides a stable fixation. We describe the technique and instruments to perform the procedure, concluding that at 12 years in a sample of 52 patients operated with this plate, the results are similar to the publications where other techniques and means of fixation were used, and that the failures and complications reported in this sample are not attributable to the implant.
