ABSTRACT
Introduction: the concept of normal voice is based on subjective, changing criteria, depending on the social, emotional, emotional role of each human being and in objective criteria linked to the cultural tradition of each country and historical moment that corresponds to live the individual. Objective: assessment of a vocal evaluation flowchart in preschool children as a procedure for classification of children's vocal quality.
Method: from a population of 476 children between four and six children from Ciego de Ávila province, a sample of 334 children was estimated and their selection was by systematic probabilistic sampling. The evaluation of the scientific methodological relevance of the flowchart was carried out by the expert consultation method, Delphi variant and the evaluation of the practical application by a pre - experimental study of a single group.
Results: most of the experts evaluated the theoretical and practical conception of the flow chart, the structural and methodological conception, the ranges of declared values, the actions developed in each vocal evaluation instrument and the existence of real possibilities of applying the flowchart. It was evidenced with the practical application of flowchart a decrease in the number of children with affected voices.
Conclusions: There was consensus in the experts about the applicability of the vocal evaluation flowchart in preschool children and its practical application corroborated the quality of the flowchart in the assessment of the child's vocal quality.
