The Cuban state and government through the Public Health Law (Law 41, July 13, 1983), guarantees health to the entire population, taking into account as a premise that health is a right of all people and a responsibility of the State, being the expression of the political will of a whole people without discrimination or social exclusion.The Ministry of Public Health is responsible for its execution in a network of organized services: the health system, whose characteristics are unique, integral and regionalized. Oral health is highlighted to obtain the general health of the people, since numerous oral pathologies are reflected at a systemic level and vice versa.
Among the main health problems of a community are those related to the stomatognathic apparatus, which has a high incidence and prevalence in the population. Its existence has been recognized since antiquity and in all regions of the world.
