Diagnosis of the organizational behavior variables in pharmacies from Sangolquí, Ecuador

ABSTRACT
Introduction: Organizational behavior is one of the most important areas of study to achieve effectiveness through the combination of efforts between individuals, groups and structure. Objective: To make a diagnosis of the problems that affect the main variables of organizational behavior in the pharmacies of Sangolquí, Ecuador, with a view to establishing a proposed action plan. Methods: The study was conducted in a significant sample of 26 pharmacies in Sangolquí, Ecuador, applying a survey to an official of each of the entities, firstly through the MICMAC software to determine the key variables of organizational behavior and then a Description of its main problems. Results: Twenty-four variables were studied according to the Robbins model, which were key to the analysis according to the participants' criteria, 20 of which systematized the main problems present in the pharmacies studied, and which may limit the effectiveness of these Organizations. The diagnosis of the main problems that affect the organizational behavior variables defined in the pharmacies under study, determined that the most affected variables currently are: communication, leadership styles, power and policies, group decision making and policies and practices of Human Resources. Conclusions: The diagnosis made will allow actions to be taken to improve organizational behavior in pharmacies in Sangolquí, Ecuador, in order to increase management effectiveness.
