ABSTRACT
Determine the influence of psychosocial factors as social networks and social support in anxiety and
depression in patients for kidney transplantation at Hospital Juárez de México.
Material and method. 25 patients for kidney transplantation, (living donor, and cadaver donor). Anxiety and Depression inventories and social networks questionnaires were used. A statistical negative correlation was found among anxiety, depression and social networks.
Discussion. Social support and size of social networks are a positive, disposed resource to help patient leading with end stage renal disease before transplantation, and avaliable to be used by interdisciplinary professionals.
