ABSTRACT
Several studies have shown that real time ultrasound during needle placement reduces time to venous cannulation and reduces the risk of complications during central venous Access. Static vein localization and dynamic ultrasound guidance is also helpful to identify the anatomic relationship between the jugular-carotid and thus plan puncture technique.
