ABSTRACT
Alveolar fissure is a common congenital anomaly in patients with cleft lip and palate, present in approximately 75% of patients with alveolar bone graft being the gold standard. Proper treatment of such patients provides multiple benefits, both functional and aesthetic. Effective treatment of such patients requires a multidisciplinary team. This article addresses all aspects for an adequate understanding of the pathology and its treatment.
