ABSTRACT
Facial lipogranulomas are an inflammatory granulomatous reaction in the reticular dermis and subcutaneous tissue associated with the injection of lipids or oily substances. Autologous facial fat injection is a widely used technique for facial enhancement and remodeling. It is a 44-year-old male patient who was performed in November 2015, blepharoplasty POT + otoplasty + autologous abdominal fat lipotransferment towards the frontal region, nasogenic groove, cheekbones, eyebrows and crow’s feet. Three months later, it presents with edema and erythematous nodules in infiltrated areas. Paraclinics are reported that report within normal limits, mycological culture and for negative mycobacteria. Histopathological study revealed inflammatory infiltrate in the reticular dermis surrounding cutaneous appendages formed by lymphocytes and histiocytes. Treatment begins with oral steroids, intralesional steroids and hydroxychloroquine with excellent clinical improvement.REFERENCES
