ABSTRACT
Recently, an emphasis has been made on the development
of translational research in behavior analysis. One reason is
that while the increased interest on services and interventions
based on applied behavior analysis has favored the
growth of behavior analysis worldwide, it is also jeopardizing
the survival of basic non-human animal research. In Mexico,
this problem is exacerbated because even applied behavior
analysis is loathed or ignored by an increasing number of
psychologists. Therefore, the development and dissemination
of translational and applied research are crucial for the survival
of behavior analysis in Mexico.
