ABSTRACT
The tuberculosis is caused by
Mycobacterium tuberculosis. This disease has re-emerged as a worldwide health problem and it’s
responsible for a higher number of deaths than any other single bacterial pathogen. To establish infection,
M. tuberculosis most first
survive its encounter with alveolar macrophages and then gain access to the lymphatics or the bloodstream. The cell mediated
immunity and delayed-type hypersensitivity immunologyc processes produced by the host play key roles in the pathogenesis of
tuberculosis. The isolation of
M. tuberculosis is the definitive method for confirming the diagnosis of tuberculosis. In recent years,
quick tests for tuberculosis based on nucleic acid amplification techniques have been developed. And the treatment of tuberculosis
must be continued, long and associated.
