ABSTRACT
The etiology of the soft tissue tumors in children could be inflammatory, reactive or neoplastic. Benign tumors in children are more frequent than in adults. The presentation of benign tumors in children is usually less specific. The principles of diagnosis in tumors, physical assessment, imaging, and pathology help to determine the diagnosis. We present the case of a fibrous hamartoma in infancy in a less frequent site.
