Dry eye syndrome, a propos of a case

ABSTRACT
It was performed the clinical manifestation of a 65-year-old patient treated in Itapua city in Paraguay in April 2013 by the Ophthalmology service of the miracle mission, which came to this service referring subjective symptoms of marked decrease of the vision, decreased of tearing, constant burning, discomfort in both eyes and loss of vision in the contralateral eye with adhere eyelids that it was impossible to open totally of several years of evolution. With personal medical history of rheumatoid arthritis who had gone to several doctors, that recommended a consultation of an ophthalmologist, it could not be possible because of the high cost that represented, so only folk healer assisted and recommended several treatments with medicinal herbs and it was getting worse by the years, until the miracle mission that Cuba offered in that country and came to us in the condition described. It was carried out an exhaustive ocular test and it was diagnosed as a syndrome of dry eye.
