ABSTRACT
We are presenting a clinical research with the purpose of evaluation of outcome in patients with urinary retention secondary to benign prostatic hyperplasia treated with transurethral chemo-ablation of the prostate with ethanol. Using the Prostaject TM, device, an initial cohort of 15 patients were treated with this alternative technique and evaluated with IPSS and residual urine volume 3 months postoperatively. Results were satisfactory in 93% of the patients obtaining a moderated IPSS in average.
