Pretransplant laparoscopic bilateral nephrectomy: previous comunication

ABSTRACT
Antecedents. The application of the laparoscopy in the urology has been advance in the last decade, in our unit practices for three years. Objective. The present study is purely descriptive in the use of the laparoscopic bilateral nephrectomy in a single surgical time for patients with terminal renal insufficiency that therefore requires it. Material and methods. We selected to the patients with terminal renal insufficiency, being the indications: arterial hypertension of difficult control, vesicoureteral reflux, among others. With the patient in ventral position, we approached by three retroperitoneal route placing trocares by each lumbar region. We made the renal dissection of hilio, bound or to clip the artery and vein, finally the uretero. The piece by one of the ports is extracted and we continued with the opposite side. Results. The average of the surgical time is from 120 to 180 min, the sanguineous loss is of 100 ml to 250 ml, the patients did not present pain, the aesthetic appearance is favorable and the hospital stay oscillates between four and six days. Conclusions. Considering which the average of transplants in our units is of 70-100 patients per year, the use of this technique promises good results, in the patients who require pretransplant nephrectomy. In a next revision the results of our experience with this procedure according to the increase of the casuistry will appear.REFERENCES
