ABSTRACT
Introduction: The importance of the benign mastopathies resides in several aspects, its clinical forms can be mistaken with cancer, in many cases they are without symptoms and they can unchain a cancer.Objective: To increase the knowledge of the women in aspects related with the mammary benign affections and the breast self-exploration.
Methods: there was an intervention study with the women belonging to the community of the clinic 19 of the health center Raúl Sánchez in the period of january to july of 2015. The universe was entirety constituted of women's in the ages from 20 to 49 years (N= 121), the sample for patients that completed the following inclusion approaches: the desire of participating in the investigation, and absence of illness that affected their intellectual or physical capacity.
Results: The knowledge of the women on the mammary benign illnesses is insufficient, getting to elevate these after the carried out intervention. It was possible to change the perception of the women that reflected in a convenient way, after the intervention, in the face of the importance of the realization of the mamma self-test in this stage of the life.
Conclusions: We achieve to elevate the knowledge of woman about Mammary Benning Illness, as well change the attitude about mamma self-test, acknowledging it as middle of elevated value to the early diagnostic of mamma affections.
