The Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and the benzodiazepines

ABSTRACT
The Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) is a condition that affects
life style of persons who present it. It is no quite possible to speak
about an sole cause that triggers this Syndrome, since a
multiplicity of researches have stated that several factors are
immersed, such as generalized anxiety and depression. One of
the symptoms in this anxiety frame is to develop an extreme ad
quick fatigue, as long as sleep disorders, as well as concentration
and memory retaining problems (typical of the CFS). These
symptoms have been treated with different medications like
benzodiazepines, which are more secure than barbiturics.
Benzodiazepines are anxiolitics prescribed for the treatment of
anxiety, sleep disorders, among other symptoms. The goal for
this theoretical study was to show the relationship between
different symptoms and the CFS, as long as the adequate
pharmacological treatment based on benzodiazepines.
