ABSTRACT
We report a 24 year-old female who three monthes subsequent to the delivery, noted increase of volume in right upper quadrant, dyspeptic upsets and abdominal pain with irradiation to the shoulder blade. Physical exam verifies a palpable and painful mass in right hypochondrium, the abdominal ultrasonic and the CT scan showed a tumor of 8 cm of major diameter in the head of the pancreas, well-vascularized with mixed component and hemorrhage areas, the mesenteric vein seemed to be thinner and longer. We carry out a cephalic pancreatoduodenectomy and a resection of the transverse colon in addition to a resection of a segment of the mesenteric superior vein. The anatomopatologic diagnostic was a cystis-solid pseudopapilar tumor of the pancreas.
