ABSTRACT
A 32-years-old male presents to the Emergency Department with a history of incidental ethylene glycol intake. He
developed an epileptic status, acute renal failure and acute respiratory distress syndrome, requiring management
in the Intensive Care Unit with mechanic ventilator. Develops VAP 8 ventilator associated pneumonia by multidrug
resistant
Comamonas testosteroni, which responded to cabapenems. At the 20th day he was discharged with
clinical improvement. The objective is to present a case of an unusual entity.
