ABSTRACT
ABSTRACT
Clinical manifestations unrelated to local invasion or compression by a malignancy, are described extensively in
the literature as paraneoplastic syndromes and may affect all systems of the human body, its pathophysiology is
related to abnormal production of biologically active substances or reaction cross between healthy tissue
and tumor tissue, neoplasms most often associated with the development of this entity is small cell lung cancer and
breast cancer. Early diagnosis and treatment based on the oncological control of the primary tumor improves the
quality of life and may prolong survival of patients. The objective is describe current concepts narratively in
diagnosis and treatment of this entity.
