ABSTRACT
Heart failure is a complex health problem with a complicated therapy. Electric pacing allows several sorts of treatment, that once individualized can improve quality of life and functional class among these patients. Ventricular resynchronization has shown to ameliorate these patients’ quality of life as well as their survival, especially when combined with defibrillator therapy. This paper reviews the physiopathological basis for biventricular pacing and its main indications.
