ABSTRACT
Post traumatic osteolysis of the clavicle is a rare presentation entity consisting of a
severe osteopenia of the distal end of the bone, caused by acute trauma or
microtrauma to repeat. A case of post-traumatic osteolysis of the clavicle is presented
in a high performance wrestling athlete who received as treatment resection of the
distal end of his clavicle. Patient outcome was very satisfactory, shoulder movement
was fully recovered, and the pain disappeared. Two months after surgery, progressive training began. Four months after, he was fully incorporated into the competitions
program of his sport.
