ABSTRACT
The rate of thyroid cancer has
increased in recent years and
it is more common in women.
Although their etiologies has
not been able to be documented
accurately, it is known that
radiation is a major cause.
Most of these pathologies are
due to papillary cancer which
has a very good prognosis.
Furthermore, fine needle
biopsy is the main method for
diagnosis. The treatment is
based on surgery and treatment
with radioactive iodine as a
second line.
