Of the 88 peopleonly 78 individual saccepted and duly completed surveys (88.6%). None of the new students smoked compared with almost 50% of students in the fifthsemester with this habit. All patients with snuff consump tions howed a slight nicotine dependence. The finding of depression was low and similar between the two groups of students; however the proportion of anxiety was higher, with values of 41 and 32% among freshmen and fifth semester respectively. Conclusion. This study found that students of higher degree exhibit great erproportion of smoking; however it appears to have no association with the presence of anxiety and depression.REFERENCES
