ABSTRACT
We studied 25 male and female patients who entered the program of executive function rehabilitation of the PAINT model for four months. All of them were examined with a neuropsychological evaluation before and after treatment. This article describes executive functions, mentions the need of specific methods for the prefrontal functioning rehabilitation, explains PAINT model and presents our executive function rehabilitation program. The results show increased visual and verbal abstraction, social and arithmetic skills, and better use of strategies for every day living.
