ABSTRACT
The antiaddictive therapeutics is effective against the pathology of drug abuse, whose multiple origin and multimodal impact requires simultaneously of several resources, because no treatment is effective by itself. The obvious variation found among programs reflects approach, different contents and effectiveness. The classification and the use of a special nosology for the patient from its sociodemografic characteristics, psychopathology, type variability, pattern of consumption, syndromatic severity, etc., represent a professional scheme that is not necessarily assumed by those who offer therapeutics services, underestimating therefore the study of the natural history of the disease and level of preventive attention like rehabilitating predictors. The therapeutic success depends on the maneuvers of the post-treatment and this one is subject to different promotional factors of adhesion (motivation, degree of involvement in the handling and performance in dynamics between the institution, type of management, the patient and the family). When the problem is seen like chronic alteration, the length of the treatment and its continuation (five years) is the most beneficial element whose modification demands ambulatory therapy, medication and continued follow-up, with psychotherapeutic foundation. Such actions guive a frame to empathic work, orientation, adjustment and of informative support, closely related to the detection and fighting of the vehement yearning for consumption. The elimination of the relapse, the reinforcing of the permanence and the taking of conscience, as well as of the active participation of the affected ones, diminish the difficulties of management of chronic processes, under protection of the current valid nosology, that urges a humanitarian quality attention of for the affected ones.
