ABSTRACT
Introduction: in the children with serious or deep in cerebral paralysis are
frequent the breathing infections. The techniques of clearing mucociliarfavor the
elimination of secretions and they avoid breathing complications in these children.
Method: we was carried out a
quasi-experimental study with the objective of
evaluating the effects ofoscillations of high frequency in the wall of the thorax
associated to in-exuflación mechanics in patient with cerebral paralysis with chronic
breathing symptoms. They were evaluated as variables the symptomsand signs,
the heart frequency, breathing frequency, oxygen saturation and pressure of CO
2
at the end of the expiration. The security and tolerance of the treatment were also
evaluated.
Results: they were incorporate 20 patients. A clinical improvement was obtained in
95 % of the patients, the oxihemoglobina saturation showed higher concentrations
when concluding the treatment. Satisfactory answer was achieved in 95 %. Adverse
effects, neither complications product of the therapy were not reported.
Conclusions: the oscillation of high frequency of the thoracic wall and in-exuflación
mechanics is beneficial as technical of clearance of the airway in patient with
serious or deep cerebral paralysis.
