ABSTRACT
The thyroid nodule is a lesion
present in the thyroid gland that
is palpable and / or ultrasound
distinct from the rest of the
parenchyma. These nodules
are clinically important given
that they can be malignant,
and could also produce various
symptoms to the patient. The
study of thyroid nodules should
include complete medical
history, physical examination,
measurement of blood TSH and
thyroid ultrasound.
