ABSTRACT
Several patients were identified with severe psychotic disorders who showed, by inference tests, the presence in the pharynx of group A beta hemolytic streptococcus. Comprehensive treatment was applied to them. Through a pre-experimental study, patients underwent an interview to determine their personal medical history, underwent ASO title, throat swabs and were evaluated monthly. 71% of them were males and 38.7% corresponds to the age range between 18 and 22 years, all patients had positive ASO title at the beginning of the investigation and 90.3% with positive swab to beta hemolytic streptococcus group A. 71.0% of patients were cured within three months of comprehensive treatment and 41.9% received comprehensive treatment. It is a disorder not described before, with symptoms of psychotic constellation associated with asymptomatic presence of group A beta hemolytic streptococcus in the throat of those affected.REFERENCES
