ABSTRACT
The helix and the lobe are the most obvious components of the ear and they must be subject to increased attention on our part. In cosmetic surgery little attention has been given to the ear lobe, shape, location, size and changes that occur with aging, particularly its ptosis, the most evident manifestation of ear aging, present in 65% of our cases. This paper refers to the most representative papers published about this subject. We present the results of our observations on implants, shapes and earlobe ptosis, conducted in 100 patients, and the classification of lobe ptosis, that we apply to determine the required procedure.
