ABSTRACT
Neurocysticercosis is a common parasitic disease affecting the central nervous system. In this article, we present a review of the literature regarding the psychiatric manifestations observed in this population, with a particular emphasis in cognitive decline, depression and psychosis. Also, we present the available information regarding the possible mechanisms of production of these mental disorders in patients with NCC.
