ABSTRACT
Diaphragmatic paralysis due to phrenic nerve injury is usually due to surgical trauma or intrathoracic malignancy. We report an unusual cause of unilateral diaphragmatic paralysis resulting from phrenic nerve injury during cervical chiropractic manipulation. It was discovered incidentally in a patient receiving a chest radiograph for other reason. Other causes of diaphragmatic paralysis are discussed, and the results of the literature review are presented.
