CASO 17-2015: Femenina de 32 años con dolor abdominal inespecífico. Isquemia intestinal por trombosis de vena mesentérica superior

ABSTRACT
The case presented herein describes a 32 year
old female, with prior medical history of migraine,
currently employed as an operator at
RITEVE, referred from a private clinic to the
Maximiliano Peralta Hospital Emergency Department
in Cartago, for presenting 9 days of
persistent abdominal pain, she is evaluated by
the surgery department, an taken into surgery.
During exploratory laparotomy, approximately
1 liter of sero-hematic fluid is documented in
abdominal cavity, related to small bowel segmentary
ischemia, 120 cm long intestinal affection, at 120 cm from the Treitz´s ligament. During
hospitalization she required 6 different surgical
interventions for various reasons, including
anastomotic leak, and hypovolemic shock
among others. Patient also required ventilatory
and inotropic support in the intensive care unit.
