RESUMEN
El número de pacientes con síndrome de fatiga
relacionado con cáncer ha aumentado en la
última década debido a la mayor sobrevida de
pacientes oncológicos. La fatiga es un síntoma
serio en pacientes con cáncer que puede afectar
profundamente la calidad de vida y, como
muchos factores pueden contribuir a este síntoma,
su manejo es un desafío que requiere de una
valoración integral y prioritaria. Sin embargo,
este síndrome es subdiagnosticado y subtratado
por la existencia de barreras importantes por
parte del paciente así como del clínico tratante
para identificarlo. El tratamiento incluye tanto
medidas farmacológicas como no farmacológicas.
