ABSTRACT
Subclavian artery aneurysms (SAA) are extremely rare, accounting for approximately 0.1% of peripheral aneurysms. The most common causes are atherosclerosis and traumatic ones. Other less common etiologies include thoracic outlet compression, congenital anomalies, cystic medial necrosis, Marfan’s Syndrome, Turner’s syndrome, giant cell arteritis, fibromuscular dysplasia and tuberculosis. These aneurysms usually occur in patients over 60 years. We present a case of subclavian aneurysms in a patient with acute ischemic upper extremity by embolism so we made aneurysm resection, bridle resection, cervical rib resection, thromboembolectomy and carotid-subclavian bypass.REFERENCES
