ABSTRACT
The mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS) are genetic disorders caused by defective enzymes needed to glycosaminoglycans degradation. In consequence, GAG are accumulated in connective tissues being responsible for multivisceral and physical deformities, making this pathology a challenge for anaesthetist, not only due to common cardiology and respiratory problems, but also because of difficulties in airway management. Owing to, is really important for anaesthetist the preoperative examination and the knowledge of potential complications.
