ABSTRACT
The Sporotrichosis is subcutaneous granulomatous mycosis of sub-acute or chronic evolution that affects mainly face and limps and is caused by the group species Sporothrix. It is classified as cutaneous, disseminated, and extracutaneous. The lesion it causes would depend on the form of presentation. The treatment is based on potassium iodide or azoles. The case presents a 80-years-old female patient who initiates with a keratic erythematous lesion in the lower third of the left leg roughly 4x5 cm, non-itchy, painless, with no systemic symptoms. She was treated multiple times with quinolones and penicillins, showing no improvement. A culture was requested reporting S. schenckii growth.h.REFERENCES
