ABSTRACT
The most commonly found of the malignant primary cardiac tumors (except malignant mesothelioma that originates in the pericardium) are: angiosarcomas, leiomyosarcomas, rhabdomyosarcomas, malignant fibrous histiocytoma, undifferentiated sarcomas, fibrous sarcomas and malignant lymphomas. Primary cardiac tumors may produce multiple heart, and systemic embolic symptoms, sometimes with fatal consequences. With a reported prevalence of 0.001 to 0.03% in autopsy series and 20-40 times more frequent than primary secondary the intracardiac malignant fibrous histiocytoma is an extremely rare tumor. In the following lines we present the case, and the decision-making during their diagnosis and treatment, of a patient with hypertension and diabetes that starts his condition with progressive dyspnea with one month of evolution, going to the cardiology service presenting mitral rumbling.
