ABSTRACT
Introduction. Tuberculosis is a public health problem worldwide. Bone tuberculosis accounts for 1 % of all cases of tuberculosis. It originated in the hematogenous dissemination from a primary infection, the bacilli rarely reach the locomotor contiguous or lymphatic route. Being more fímica arthritis. Objective. To report four cases of bone tuberculosis, foot bones and proximal femur. Case report. Female patient is 21 months old, male 15 years, female 24 months old and male 3 years old, referred to the Emergency Department with weeks to months of evolution, functional limitation , inability to up , bulking affected area (1st metatarsal in left foot, left proximal femur, left calcaneus respectively) all with a history of BCG (+) and sag (-). Results. Diagnosis is made through clinical history, radiographic studies in which osteolytic lesion is seen with irregular borders , histopathology report of bone tissue with chronic granulomatous inflammation, elevated erythrocyte sedimentation rate and identification of Mycobacterium tuberculosis by means of technical microarray by PCR. For treatment curettage, bone graft placement was performed but the antituberculosis. Conclusions. Bone tuberculosis should be a differential diagnosis in the case of osteolytic bone lesions in pediatric patient type , pathologic examination of the biopsy and new techniques with PCR microarrays allow its early diagnosis and treatment.
