ABSTRACT
Colonic pouch or “pouch colon” is an anorectal malformation characterized by the termination of the colon in a long bag, which generally communicates through a fistula with the urogenital tract. It has been reported as common in India and rare in the rest of the world. This defect in most cases is associated with other congenital anomalies. Herein, we describe the case of a newborn male with dysmorphic syndrome in which a colonic type IV bag with tracheoesophageal fistula without atresia associated. This association has not been previously registered in Mexico. The aim of the presentation of the case is to spread the existence of this disease; hence, early diagnosis can be made and thus provide the best management options. The Partnership priorities is solved by ligation of tracheoesophageal fistula and after the creation of a colostomy followed by the section of the rectourinaria fistula, coloplasty, anorectoplasty posterior sagittal and colostomy closure
