Arthroscopic treatment of the arthrosis of ankle in sportsmen. Report of twenty four cases

ABSTRACT
The objective of this work is to evaluate the results of arthrosis of ankle treatment in sportsmen by means of arthroscopic, we made exploratory, observational, transverse and descriptive study, treating twenty four sport patients with arthrosis of ankle, everybody masculine sex, with age average of twenty seven years and giving them a follow-up average of thirteen months. Results were valued according to the scale AOFAS for ankle, observing sixteen weeks of postoperating ten patients with one hundred points, eight with ninety and seven and six with eighty points, obtaining seventy five percent of good results and twenty five percent of regular results, for this reason we concluded that the arthroscopy is a safe and effective procedure for arthrosis of ankle treatment in sportsmen, nevertheless can be improved.
